About this alarm
A free alarm clock that rings in your browser at a time you choose. Useful when your phone is charging in another room, on silent, or simply not to hand.
How to use it
Pick the time you want the alarm to sound and press Set. The large clock shows your current local time, so you can see at a glance how long you have, and the page tells you how far away the alarm is in hours and minutes.
If the time you choose has already passed today, the alarm is set for that time tomorrow instead. Setting a 7:00 alarm late at night therefore does what you would expect rather than ringing immediately.
When the alarm goes off, the clock turns orange, a sound plays, and the browser tab title changes — so you will notice it even if you are working in a different window. Clear cancels a set alarm at any time.

How it differs from a phone alarm
A phone alarm is handled by the phone itself, so it rings whether the screen is off or the app is closed. This alarm lives in the web page, which means the tab has to stay open for it to sound.
That is the trade-off: no app to install and nothing to set up, but the browser needs to stay running. For a nap at your desk or a reminder during a work session that is usually exactly what you want. For something you cannot afford to miss overnight, use your phone.
Common questions
Will the alarm ring if I close the tab?
No. The alarm runs inside the page, so the tab must stay open. Minimising the window or working in another tab is fine — closing it is not.
Will it ring if my computer goes to sleep?
No. If the device sleeps, the page stops running and the alarm will not sound. For anything critical, set a phone alarm as well.
Why can I not hear anything?
Browsers block sound until you interact with the page, which is why the audio unlocks when you press Set. If it is still silent, check the tab is not muted and your volume is up.
Can I set more than one alarm?
One per page. You can open the alarm clock in another browser tab to set a second one.
Can I set an alarm for a different day?
The alarm covers the next 24 hours — a time already gone today is set for tomorrow. For dates further out, use the countdown pages instead.
Does it work on a phone?
It does, but a phone’s own alarm app is more reliable because it keeps working when the screen is off.
